This book is the Moissac equivalent of Veronique Rouchon Mouilleron's study of Vezelay. The photographs by David Finn are of the highest quality, but not always as large an image as in the Vezelay study. In The Introduction the author cautions that it has not been possible to describe every capital, but there is certainly enough to satisfy most readers. The style of writing is fairly technical, so this is more than a guide book. I would suggest it is ideal for anyone planning a visit (as I am), or wanting to do research having been there.
